This reservoir is a good location for an outdoor getaway in Northeast Missouri. It offers fishing, camping and hiking opportunities. Electric and water hookups are available. For information, please call 660-332-7166. Fees are $12 for camp sites with hookups; $7 for primitive sites. People who bring their own boats will be required to pay a fee, which is $25 for a year or $2 per day.

This lake was built by the Santa Fe Railroad in 1907. Since the 1920s it has been a swimming, fishing, and picnicking destination for La Plata and surrounding area. The lake is open from Memorial Day-Labor Day.

Shelbina Lake offers a variety of activities, from fishing and boating to camping. No swimming or wading is allowed.

There are approximately 76 camper-sites, with full hook-ups, along with a few tent-sites–all sites have electrical; five shelter houses; playground equipment; restrooms; a volleyball court; tennis court; basketball courts; and a nine-hole golf course is adjacent.

Bait and tackle, charcoal, food, soda, ice and snacks are available at the Pro Shop on the west side of lake; camping fees are collected there.

This 18,600-acre lake is ideal for a day on the water. Also, enjoy equestrian trails, walking trails, and sleeping under the stars. Offers great fishing; known for crappie and bass tournaments. There are stocked ponds for those without boats.

Camping is available in four Corps of Engineers developed recreation areas; many with full hookups; most have electric, fire grills, lantern hangers, picnic tables and asphalt pads. Areas have showers, restrooms, sanitary stations, trails, scenic overlooks, launch ramps, and beaches and playgrounds.
