Missouri State Parks is helping celebrate Missouri Stream Team's 25th anniversary by offering water quality programs at various parks during the month of July.
In all, nine Missouri State Parks are participating in the event, with activities held at various dates and times throughout the month. This is not a month-long event.
For more information about a particular program, visit the State Parks website.

The night sky shows it all on this night: crescents, craters, mountains and rings. Plus, you will see all the treasures of the Summer Triangle, including sapphire and gold Albireo and the Ring Nebula. Don't miss this one, which is the Knob Noster State Park’s last astronomy program of the summer.
This free program is part of a series of programs led by Grant Miller and his friendly, knowledgeable amateur astronomers, known as “the Local Group.” The programs are designed to help beginners learn about and appreciate the night sky.
Each program begins with a brief introduction, short astronomy/space lesson, and a question and answer session as the sky darkens. Quality amateur telescopes will be set up to guide visitors through the night sky; a naked-eye laser sky tour will also be presented (dim red light flashlights preferred). Bring something to sit on. Insect repellant is recommended.
The events will be cancelled if skies are overcast or it's raining. To find out if an event is cancelled, please go to the Knob Noster State Park Facebook page.
