We strive to inspire each visitor with a unique combination of scenic beauty and peaceful, elegant comfort. There are eight, circa 1902, brick buildings, on 16 beautiful acres. Guestrooms have a private bathroom, comfortable beds and overstuffed couches.

We have three cottages that sleep six, located two miles outside of Ironton, 80 miles southeast of St. Louis. The country setting provides a peace and quiet not found in the city. Walk along Stouts Creek; relax by the pool; float the Black River using canoes, rafts or tubes. Trail rides are on the adjacent property.

A rustic, secluded log cabin with loft; sleeps six. It has a European style, two-story fireplace, indoor Jacuzzi brand tub, outdoor hot tub and a large front porch. Bear Cub Cabin is smaller, but also sleeps six. The three-bedroom lodge sleeps 10; it has a red granite, woodburning fireplace, large deck and outdoor hot tub. All units have kitchen and bathroom. The lodgings offer half a mile of private Black River beach front access. Float trips and weekend entertainment are available at Bearcat Getaway Resort. Black River Camping caters to the families who want to camp in a quiet, less crowded campground environment suitable to families.
This is a great spot for camping, on a quiet part of the West Fork of the Black River. We have river access, with canoes, kayaks and rafts available for floating. We provide a fire-ring with a grill and picnic table at each campsite. Portable toilets are available at the campsite. We have a bath house.
Two cabins that sleep four to six. Full service shower house within 100 feet. Two miles from the Black River and Jeff's Canoe Rentals. Open all year.
On-site: hiking trails; equestrian trails; riding lessons; stall and pasture boarding.
Bring your own horse; we have miles of trails to ride. There is overnight horse boarding on-site. Lessons are available for all levels and all ages. Younger than 18 must be accompanied by parent and must wear a helmet. We have pony rides for younger children.

Hummingbird Hideaway is a two-bedroom, one-bath cottage in secluded Peola Valley. We offer peace and quiet, complete with a spring-fed creek that runs through our property. Remodeled in 2009, so most everything is new, from kitchen to bath to bedrooms. We provide private access to the Black River. There are hordes of hummingbirds, in season.
Carved into the rock by the flow if the Black River, the shut-ins are a great place for swimming and splashing. A boardwalk and overlooks offer spectacular views and provides easy access to the shut-ins.
The park features tent and RV camping; cabins; a general store; a visitor center; hiking and equestrian trails.

Johnson's Shut-Ins State Park offers six camper cabins located off of Loop 2 in the campground. The log cabins provide accommodations for up to four adults and two children. These accommodations include a queen-size bed and a double-size futon. The camper cabins, open March through December, may be reserved in advance. The camper cabins have electricity, heating and air conditioning but do not include water or restrooms. Each cabin has a dining table, ceiling fan, compact refrigerator and microwave. Exterior amenities include a porch bench, picnic table, pedestal grill and campfire grill. For reservations: 877-422-6766 or visit our Web site.
Basic, electric, full hook-up, walk-in and equestrian electric/water campsites are available. All campsites are open year-round. Reservations can be made for stays during April through October. On-season services include a dump station, restroom and shower facilities, laundry, water, a woodlot and a camp store. Campers planning to carry in firewood must comply with current firewood advisories. During the off-season, potable water is not available.
We offer a turkey hunting guide service, and we have a deer hunting lease, on a private, gated 2,000 acre tract of land. There are several ponds and food plots, along with beautiful scenery.
You pay only if you get your turkey. Open daily during Missouri hunting seasons.
Also, we offer hog hunting in Reynolds county, on 15,000 acres located around Lesterville.
Predator hunting is available.
This 1889 bed and breakfast houses three guestrooms with private baths; custom dining. A full breakfast is served. This property is on the National Register of Historic Places. Our inn is located in the Arcadia Valley; we are about 15 minutes from Johnson's Shut-Ins State Park and five minutes from Elephant Rocks State Park.
Dedicated to the preservation of Reynolds County's past in book form as well as acquisition and display of Reynolds County artifacts. Our research library numbers more than 1,500 volumes pertaining to Reynolds County and neighboring counties' censuses, marriages, cemeteries, family histories, industries, as well as like material from other states.
Our museum houses artifacts pertaining to farming, lumbering, railroading, everyday household-use items, early school, President John F. Kennedy dishes, kitchen items, military memorabilia, and other pieces.
The Riversedge Campground is on the clear and cool Black River. We have more than 100 campsites located on or near the river, more than half of which are equipped with electric and water hookups. We also provide modern bathroom facilities with clean toilets and hot showers.
