This reservoir is a good location for an outdoor getaway in Northeast Missouri. It offers fishing, camping and hiking opportunities. Electric and water hookups are available. People who bring their own boats will be required to pay a fee, which is $25 for a year or $2 per day.
This lake was built by the Santa Fe Railroad in 1907. Since the 1920s it has been a swimming, fishing, and picnicking destination for La Plata and surrounding area. The lake is open from Memorial Day-Labor Day.
