The PGA Champions Tour event known as the Legends of Golf is moving to Missouri; it is now known as The Big Cedar Lodge Legends of Golf Presented by Bass Pro Shops.
The event is scheduled at two golf venues in the Branson area: Top of the Rock golf course and Buffalo Ridge golf course (both part of the Big Cedar Lodge complex and, when not hosting this tournament, open to the public).

On June 4-5, participants are divided into two teams. On June 4, Team A plays nine holes at Top of The Rock, followed by an outdoor pro-am activity including sporting clays and archery; trout and bass fishing, hiking and outdoor grilling at Dogwood Canyon. Team B plays an 18-hole pro-am at Buffalo Ridge. On June 5, this schedule of play is reversed.
The Legends tournament is played June 6-8, 2014.
Top of the Rock golf course is a nine-hole, par-3 course designed by Jack Nicklaus. Two sets of tees allow for 18 holes of play. The site is a nature-based heritage preserve created by Bass Pro Shops founder Johnny Morris. The facility includes an Arnold Palmer-designed practice range with 18 target greens, plus a 70,000 square-foot "Himalayan" putting course designed by Tom Watson. Top of the Rock golf course introduces the scenic beauty and outdoor recreational opportunities of southwest Missouri to a worldwide audience. This is the first PGA Tour-sanctioned event played on a par-3 course.Buffalo Ridge golf course (formerly Branson Creek Golf Club) is a regulation, 18-hole course which has undergone extensive redesign by Tom Fazio. The course winds through rolling hills, with plentiful natural as well as man-made water hazards and free-ranging buffalo relocated from nearby Dogwood Canyon Nature Park. This golf course has been rated the Number One Public Golf Course in Missouri by GOLF Magazine and has been named one of the Top 10 Missouri Courses by Golf Digest for 11 consecutive years.World Golf Hall of Fame members Jack Nicklaus, Tom Watson, Hale Irwin, Gary Player and Lee Trevino have indicated they will play in the event, joining a large field of regular Champions Tour players. Other Hall of Fame members who regularly play on the Champions Tour include Fred Couples, Nick Faldo, Vijay Singh and Curtis Strange.Play is a two-man team competition, divided into two divisions: PGA tour players ages 50-65 and those 65 and older. The total purse is expected to be $2.75 million. The tournament is broadcast to more than 200 countries, with some 145 million households, according to information from the PGA Tour. The event is televised on the Golf Channel, the official cable-TV source of the Champions Tour.

On Sunday, December 7, 2014, Branson’s 66th Annual Adoration Celebration and Parade will begin at 5 p.m. in downtown Branson with the lighting of Branson’s Adoration Scene (located on Mt. Branson).
