The 30th Candlelight Christmas Walk takes places on two dates, Dec. 7 and Dec. 14, from 5 p.m.-10 p.m. Picture yourself inside a Norman Rockwell Christmas painting; that's how you'll feel as a corridor of more than 1,500 glowing luminaries welcomes you to the sights, sounds and smells of ‘Christmas yesteryear' in Augusta.

A drive-through holiday light display at Fort Zumwalt Park. Each scene is designed and funded by local organizations, churches and businesses.
The event is closed to vehicle traffic on Mondays–train rides are available by reservation.
Admission: car, $9; commercial vans, $15; bus, $1 per person ($25 minimum).
Tuesday nights: non-commercial vehicles, $7; take $1 off admission any night (other than Tuesdays or Walk-Through night) with a canned food donation. (Closed Dec. 25).

The Precious Moments Chapel and Gardens, created and opened by artist Samuel J. Butcher in 1989, features 84 hand-painted murals and 30 stained glass widows done in the Precious Moments art style, based on stores from the Bible. Beautiful Christmas lights and decorations create wonderful holiday memories during this special time of year, when our hours are extended.
The chapel includes the Samuel J. Butcher Museum and Gallery; the world's largest Precious Moments Gift Shoppe (with chapel exclusive figurines); a year-round Christmas shop; and Royal Delights Snack Shop.
Christmas In The Sky is a kick-off celebration for the holiday season. The evening is filled with local celebrities; holiday stage productions; and a wonderful fireworks display, synchronized to holiday music.
This event sets the stage for opening night of Jackson County’s Christmas In The Park.

Activities at the Watkins home will include holiday caroling, reading of family letters, free samples of traditional holiday treats, flaming of the plum pudding demonstrations, and an opportunity for children to visit with Father Christmas.
Activities at the visitor center will include kids crafts, live traditional holiday music and a performance by the Lathrop Singing Mules grade-school choir. Admission is free for the event and there will be an open house at the Watkins family home for the duration of the event.
