The National Park Service, in partnership with the St. Louis Astronomical Society, invites visitors of all ages to the Arch grounds for a different take on astronomy with Gateway to the Stars, a free stargazing series under the Gateway Arch.
This program promotes the exploration of St. Louis’ star-studded night sky and features two events.
- Children, ages 5-12, are invited to Junior Ranger Night Explorer Workshop, led by Michael Malolepszy of the St. Louis Astronomical Society. After a special program in the Odyssey Theater, inside the Arch Visitor Center, free telescope viewing is held on the Arch grounds – weather permitting. Kids earn a special Junior Ranger patch upon successful competition of the evening’s events.
