This tour of downtown Cape Girardeau includes 19 points of interest dating to the early 1800s. The route is approximately two miles. Points of interest include: The Glenn House; Old St. Vincent's Church; Red House Interpretive Center; Common Pleas Court House; Port Cape Girardeau; Riverfront Park and Mural Tour; Cape River Heritage Museum; the River Campus of Southeast Missouri State University; and several old homes. Free maps are available at the Cape Girardeau Convention and Visitor Bureau; or they may be requested by phone or online; a CD is available for $5. Free parking in our downtown lot.

Take a ride down the Mississippi River on replica 19th-century paddle-wheel boats, which are part of the Core of Discovery, a downtown St. Louis family attractions district. The Tom Sawyer and the Becky Thatcher combine the charm of the 1800s with modern conveniences. Choose from a variety of cruises, including daily sightseeing cruises (March-November), dinner cruises, music cruises, cruises to Kimmswick, lock-and-dam cruises and private charters.

Cape Girardeau is Rush Limbaugh's hometown. A self-guided driving tour takes visitors past Rush's boyhood haunts. This self-driving tour will take you past the hospital where Rush was born. You'll see his childhood home, where he attended school and cruised Broadway which was traditional during Rush's high school days. You'll discover the barber shop where he shined shoes and the radio station where he began his career. Maps available at the Convention and Visitor Bureau, 400 Broadway, Suite 100.

Enjoy an exciting and unique guided tour of downtown St. Louis, Forest Park or the Soulard Neighborhood riding a Segway personal transporter. The downtown and the Forest Park tours last approximately three hours; the Soulard tour is approximately two hours. Tours for up to eight people; minimum age 16; weight 100-270 pounds. Dress for outdoors and wear sensible shoes (no flip-flops). April through October.

Training on a Segway is provided. Your starting location and other details are provided upon booking. See our Web site for details and schedules. All tours are $65/person.
