Jackson County Parks and Rec invite you to share the richness of our pioneer heritage at the annual Missouri Town 1855 Fall Festival. This antebellum village comes alive with the smell of wood fires and hot apple cider.
Vintage craftsmen will be demonstrating their 19th century skills, as children eagerly participate in the games and contests of yesteryear. Build up an appetite for some old-fashioned vittles while kicking up your heels to period music.
Join the fun...you won't want to miss Missouri Town's biggest event of the year!
The festival is fun for the young and the young at heart. The event includes, among other activities: kids street; arts and crafts vendors; authentic German meals; Biergarten and brat tents; sports-zelt tent; carnival; three stages of entertainment; wiener dog and cutest baby contests; German music and dancers.
Held in the downtown area, Lee's Summit Oktoberfest brings out the German in everyone. We expect an attendance of more than 70,000. Get out the lederhosen and steins and enjoy the 2014 Oktoberfest.
