A fun filled weekend of music and entertaining activities. Friday evening begins with "Pickin on the square," so take your acoustic instruments and join the fun.
A large parade (at 86 years, this is the longest continuing parade in Missouri) kicks off the festivities on Saturday, followed by a full day of music, food, and dancing.
Vendors set-up around the square to display their crafts. A small train is available for the children and a horse drawn carriage gives rides as well. There is something for everyone.
This renowned event features the National Fence Painting Contest; a frog-jumping contest; live entertainment; mud volleyball; and lots of other fun activities.
An annual tradition (60 years strong) in Hannibal, National Tom Sawyer Days draws visitors from all over the world who come to experience the history of Hannibal, through the eyes of author Mark Twain.
Oktoberfest is a street festival on Route 66, with six blocks of fun for kids, adults, families and couples:
Admission: free into the festival; some rides/attractions require a fee or cover charge.
“I Support the Festival” ribbon/wristband: $2 in advance, $4 at the gates. Enjoy complimentary access to some attractions and major discounts (such as half off) on certain attractions; plus receive a discount card good at 10 area businesses for the month of October.
