Santa Fe Lake – La Plata

See Photo Location

This lake was built by the Santa Fe Railroad in 1907. Since the 1920s it has been a swimming, fishing, and picnicking destination for La Plata and surrounding area. Due to Covid-19, this season the lake is only open for FREE swimming privileges with no caretaker or concession stand. The policy is as always “swim at your own risk”. There is a porta potty for use at the site.
