Discover Nature at the Twin Pines Conservation Education Center in Winona. Enjoy these programs in May:

  • May 3: Medicinal Native Plants, 9 a.m.-noon. Nature has a great deal to offer, if you know where to look and how to make use of its bounty. This program will help you do just that by teaching you how to make essential oils and salves from native plants.

  • May 10: Wild Game Outdoor Cooking (for ages 12 and older), 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Interested in learning something new, especially if it relates to something good to eat? Then we have something you might find interesting. With our "everyone cooks, everyone eats" method you will get hands-on experience in the preparation of a variety of wild game meats.

  • May 31: Wild Edibles (for all ages), 9 a.m.-noon. Join us to taste nature's bounty throughout the seasons. This program focuses on plant ID, preparation and cooking.
