Discover Nature at the Twin Pines Conservation Education Center in Winona. Enjoy these programs in December:

  • Dec. 10: Little Stinker’s Storytime, 9:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m. (Preschool age level) Squirrels can be cute and squirrels can be a nuisance, especially when they raid the bird feeder. Find out what will happen in this month's story, "Those Darn Squirrels." The story, with its song and craft project will focus on how animals find food throughout the year.
  • Dec. 13: Nature’s Ornaments for the Family, 10 a.m.-noon (All ages) This season is ripe with natural objects that, with a little skill and creativity, can be turned into holiday treasures for the family. Join us and get started with a few ideas on how to do just that. Materials will be provided.
  • Dec. 13: Kids’ Gigging, 4 p.m.-10 p.m. (Ages 18 and younger) Kids! Do you want to do something different? Spend some time at Twin Pines and learn the skill of gigging. Participants younger than 12 must have a parent or guardian present. Valid fishing license required for ages 16 and older.
