The Bluesweek festival celebrates the rich history of St. Louis as a mecca for blues and jazz. This year’s festival is held at the Chesterfield Amphitheater and Central Park.
St. Louis Bluesweek Festival features a barbecue competition called the Bluesweek BBQ Blast. The contest offers $10,000 in total prize money, to be divided among the winners. Great food is available for purchase.
Be sure to take a chair, blanket, sunscreen, sunglasses, along with your good attitude and a hunger for some great blues, brews and BBQ. Check the website for details, a complete listing of bands and schedules.
Attend the festival for free. Ticketed performances are presented inside the amphitheater. General admission tickets for each day’s concerts are $10; tickets for the amphitheater’s stadium-style seating area are $25.
The Historic Village reverts to the 19th century, with period dressed re-enactors. Hay wagons carry visitors to and from the parking lots at Faust Park.
The event includes, in addition to other activities: traditional arts and crafts such as blacksmithing, rope making and pottery firing; historical arts and crafts demonstrations; food stands; hands-on activities for children, including, but not limited to, rope making, corn-husk doll making, peg making and crosscut sawing.
Admission: $5; age 4-12, $2; 3 and younger, free.
Join us after dark for a hayride tour around Faust Park, and then wander through candlelit historic homes, where storytellers await to share spooky stories. Warm up with a bonfire as you listen to live music.
Three hayrides are scheduled per night at 6 p.m., 7 p.m. and 8 pm. Tickets are $10 per person and must be purchased in advance.
The historic homes in the Village at Faust Park are open for free tours on these special weekends.
Guides in period dress are available to answer questions about the structures, as well as the heritage gardens that are lovingly attended to by dedicated volunteers.

Visit the home of Frederick Bates, Missouri’s second governor, and learn how he helped form the state into what it is today. Also, tour the 1820s and 1860s barns, the smokehouse, ice house, peach orchard, and the blacksmith’s shop. The estate includes the family cemetery, burial site of the governor, his wife, Nancy, and two of their four children.

Faust County Park is located on a tract of land that once belonged to Frederick Bates, the second governor of Missouri. In 1818, he built a home on the property and named his estate Thornhill. That home is one of the park's many prominent features.

Our goal is the acquisition, restoration, display, and operation of antique and vintage aircraft from the Golden Age of Flight, roughly 1920 to 1940. The aircraft are displayed in four hangers. The inventory changes regularly as restorations are completed and new additions are acquired. The museum is a not-for-profit educational institution.
A few of the planes in the collection have an extensive motion picture and TV background. Visit our website for details, photos and special event schedules. The Museum’s aircraft do fly from time to time, but there is no set schedule. However, the airport is also home to about thirty other antique and classic planes that are owned and operated by private individuals. Feel free to wonder the grounds but Do Not Drive Vehicles or Bicycles past the parking lot. Step into the main office building and ask for assistance.

Faust Historic Village is a collection of buildings that were moved to Faust Park from locations in the Chesterfield and St. Louis area, in order to save them from demolition.
The buildings, circa 1840-1890, are open to the public for tours weekdays (for a fee) and by appointment. During the tours, these homes are staffed by trained docents who recount the history of each house. A blacksmith is working in the blacksmith shop many weekends throughout the summer. On select weekends, the village is open to the public for free.
