This event begins at 2 p.m. June 26 as part of the Tuesday's @ 2 Program at the Missouri State Museum.
From June 5 through Oct. 30, meet at the Missouri State Museum each Tuesday to explore Missouri’s cultural and natural resources through a special tour or program. These programs are geared toward children ages 6-12 years, but people of any age are welcome to attend. Programs will take place in the museum classroom, which is located in the History Hall (east wing).
This is a premier event that provides funding for children's educational programs at Powell Gardens, Kansas City's botanical garden. The party begins at 5 p.m. with cocktails and a silent auction featuring newly released plants and other treasures. Guests will then enjoy dinner, catered by Lon Lane's Inspired Occasions, in a grand tent overlooking the Island Garden.
A fast-paced live auction will feature garden tours and trips available exclusively through donors and members of Powell Gardens. Tickets are $150. Patron tickets are $300.
Sponsorship opportunities range from $1,500 to $10,000. Upper level sponsors will receive preferred seating, tickets to Under a Harvest Moon: A Farm-to-Table Dinner at Powell Gardens on Sept. 30, and recognition in the "Garden View" newsletter. Join park volunteer Randal Clark in his 30th year of leading groups in search of spring wildflowers. Hike various park trails, enjoy the different colors and shapes and learn each flower’s story. Meet at the Devil’s Icebox parking lot. Reservations are not required.

Katy Trail State Park is the longest rails-to-trails conversion in the U.S. The flat, 237.7-mile trail is open for hiking, running, walking, and bicycling through Missouri countryside.
Many wineries, restaurants, bed and breakfast inns, motels, campgrounds and shopping opportunities are located along its length. More than half of the eastern section of the trail follows the Missouri River; after leaving the river, the trail meanders through peaceful farmland and small-town Missouri.
Horseback riding is allowed on a 25-mile section between Calhoun and Sedalia.

Rent 16-foot fishing boats; 26-foot deck cruisers, kayaks, canoes, and pedal boats for fun on the water. Slip rentals and ramp permits are also available on-site. Located at mile marker 12 on the Grand Glaize Arm of the Lake of the Ozarks.
This 7,275-acre area owned by the Missouri Department of Conservation is a mostly forested area that provides both hunting and nature-viewing opportunities. Hunting for all major game species is permitted in season. Trails over parts of the area provide hiking and nature photography opportunities. Horseback riding and bicycling is permitted on designated trails and service roads. Primitive camping (no amenities provided) is allowed at designated sites on the area. Dogs must be leashed or confined when not being used for hunting or training purposes. Minimal fishing opportunities exist on the ponds and streams on the area.
