We have three cottages that sleep six, located two miles outside of Ironton, 80 miles southeast of St. Louis. The country setting provides a peace and quiet not found in the city. These cabins offer privacy and space for gatherings. Built for vacationers, we have many cabins at this location; together, they can sleep more than 100, providing a great place for reunions and groups.
The two large living areas have lots of seating; upstairs has a fireplace and is right off of the fully stocked kitchen. Two master suites are on this level with large baths with double whirlpools and separate showers. The large screened-in porch runs along the back of the living room, has two porch swings, a table and a great view.
Downstairs is the large family room with another big television, games for all ages, a mini-kitchen, two more large bedrooms (also with king-size beds) and full baths. This level has an open deck with table and chairs.

This area offers some of the most beautiful scenery in the Ozarks, and is quite a history lesson: The Mill was built in 1842 by John Caplinger. It was burned down several times, twice during the Civil War by Shelby's Raiders. The remaining Mill Ruins, as well as the Dam and Bridge are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Bridge has been restored with decking and acts as a center of activity for the local fishing community.
