Home to some of the rarest Mercedes-Benz automobiles in the world, plus other classic and rare automobiles, dating from 1886. Through an array of programs and activities, the museum offers visitors an opportunity to view and learn about the contrasts between pre-WWII and post-WWII engineering and design, the development of automotive technology and the influence of major political and cultural movements in Europe and America.
Though most cars on display in the museum are hand-crafted luxury vehicles — many belonging to only a handful of elite drivers — they revolutionized the automobile world like nothing before, opening new avenues of innovation for succeeding vehicles to explore and reinvent.
The Museum is located at the Chesterfield Commons retail and commerce complex, off I-64. Closed Thanksgiving and December 25. Mueseum may close early for special occasions; check website for additional information on hours and tours.
Admission: $8; age 62+, $6; younger than 18, $3; audio tour, add $2.
