A rustic, secluded log cabin with loft; sleeps six. It has a European style, two-story fireplace, indoor Jacuzzi brand tub, outdoor hot tub and a large front porch. Bear Cub Cabin is smaller, but also sleeps six. The three-bedroom lodge sleeps ten; it has a red granite, woodburning fireplace, large deck and outdoor hot tub. All units have kitchen and bathroom. The lodgings offer half a mile of private Black River beach front access. Float trips and weekend entertainment are available at Bearcat Getaway Resort. Located 20 minutes from Johnson's Shut-ins; 15 minutes from Taum Sauk Mountain State Park; 30 minutes from Elephant Rocks State Park; and 25 minutes from Fort Davidson State Historic Site.

We are a full-service RV park located on the banks of crystal-clear Big Creek. All 40 of our big-rig friendly sites have 30- and 50-amp electric, water, and septic hookups, cable TV, and Wi-Fi. We fill propane tanks on-site. We have private shower suites, an on-site laundry, a game room and a meeting hall to serve all your needs. Big Creek is good for wading, catch-and-release fishing, or swimming on hot days. The nature trail that runs along the creek is good for walking and enjoying the Ozark outdoors.

We offer guided trail rides in the hills along the Black River. Minimum rides are one hour; rides can be customized to your request. Bring your horse or ride one of ours. Overnight horse boarding is available. Lessons are available for all levels and all ages. We are on Route K, in Annapolis. There is a bed and breakfast one mile east; campgrounds two miles west.

Younger than 18 must be accompanied by parent and must wear a helmet. Cost: $25 for the one-hour ride. Boarding: $10 per night. Lesson: $20 for half-an-hour. Reservations are recommended but not required.

Clearwater Lake is a recreational treasure in southeastern Missouri. Whether you participate in water sports, camp, hike, bike, fish or hunt, you'll find Clearwater Lake is a fine place to visit.

This 100-acre lake provides fishing for bass, sunfish and catfish. A boat ramp is available. Electric motors only. No camping is allowed. There is a five-mile, double loop trail for hiking, horseback riding and mountain biking. Those wishing to camp will find Marble Creek Camp and Picnic Grounds nine miles northeast, just off of Route E.

This motel is located across from the Fort Davidson Battlefield. Features include suites and the adjacent Fort Davidson Restaurant.

Features two dining rooms, a full-service bar and an outdoor garden. Hambugers, chicken, steaks, prime rib, crab legs, homemade desserts. Carriage rides available by reservation.

Hummingbird Hideaway is a two-bedroom, one-bath cottage in secluded Peola Valley. We offer peace and quiet, complete with a spring-fed creek that runs through our property. Remodeled in 2009, so most everything is new, from kitchen to bath to bedrooms. We provide private access to the Black River. There are hordes of hummingbirds, in season.

Shepherd Mountain RV Park is located in Ironton, Missouri. It is close to scenic Fort Davidson battlefield and is in the Arcadia Valley area near Elephant Rocks, Johnson's Shut-Ins, and Taum Sauk Mountain state parks. Picnic benches overlooking Stouts Creek are provided; as well as wireless Internet, 70-channel cable, sewer, and water hookups.
