At Crystal Creek Equine Center, we’re proud to offer guided horseback rides and riding lessons, including a therapeutic riding program. Bring your own horse and stay at Crystal Creek Ranch. We have over ten miles of trails on the ranch and connecting trails to Horse Camp on the Jack's Fork River, Angeline Trail Head, and Ozark National Scenic Riverways Trail System.
We have a limited number of rental horses for guided trail rides around the ranch and for private horsemanship lessons.
We offer a variety of unique lodging adventures for your stay. We have self-guided ranch tours; a small-animal area, walking trails, horse trails, camping, labyrinth, recreation center, and a four-level overlook deck. Our air-conditioned main hall is available for private events.
Riding at the Flying R Ranch provides a variety of trails and varied terrain. Trails are constantly being developed with the goal of giving you a great trail-riding experience.
Nearly all the trails begin at the camp, near the stalls. From this point, ride down to the North Fork of the White River and begin your adventure. Bring your horses and enjoy the miles of scenic trails. Covered horse stalls are available.
Flying R Ranch is joined on three sides by Mark Twain National Forest. The White River runs through the ranch, offering two miles of river frontage for swimming, fishing, equestrian, and water activities.
We have cabins on-site; they sleep 16. The bunkhouse features air-conditioned, private rooms: six accommodate two people; one takes four people. RV hookups (50/30/20 amp) and tent space available.
Amenities include a shower house, restrooms and a laundry room. There is a cave on the property, which you may explore, for a fee.
Wooded and open horse trails for all levels of experience. With more than 800 acres, riders can spend hours without seeing the same terrain. Many locations have been groomed for stopovers, which could include a meal break and a rest stop.
We have large turn-around for horse trailers; full hook-up for RV sites; cabins; horse stalls and pens; long-term boarding; horses for rent with reservations.
Facilities include: a restaurant/bar; outdoor rifle, pistol, shotgun and archery ranges; hiking trails; firearms and outdoor store; fishing; off-road vehicle trails; hunting packages; firearms classes; and other activities.
Our facility is located in north-central Missouri, off Route 139, approximately 50 miles west of Kirksville.
