Family fun is waiting at Missouri's largest agricultural showcase. The annual Missouri State Fair is steeped in tradition and heritage, dating from the first fair in 1901. The fairgrounds set the stage for an 11-day event that includes nearly 30,000 entries of Missouri's best livestock and competitive exhibits.
The State Fair includes a diverse lineup of entertainment options. The main grandstand provides 11 days of exciting entertainment, ranging from concerts to tractor pulls to internationally acclaimed entertainers.
In the arena, watch rodeo, bull riding and motorsports. The free professional entertainment and exhibits located throughout the grounds keep everyone entertained for hours and help make the State Fair very affordable for families. Free shows such as a circus under a big top, and the new Swashchucklers Comedy Pirate Show are just a sampling of the fun.
The fairgrounds offer public camping year-round; during the fair camp sites start at $20 per night.
Admission: $8 ~ ages 62+, $6 ~ ages 6-12, $2 ~ younger than 6, free. Parking is free. Special discounts on admission and carnival ride tickets are offered throughout the event.
