The Cotton Ramble Bike Ride begins and ends at the Sikeston Depot Museum in downtown Sikeston. Riders travel along shaded, tree-lined streets with majestic homes constructed in the early 1900s. This event is not a race. It is designed to allow riders to choose their routes based on their own level of training.
Choose from 13-, 26-, 65- and 100-mile rides. The longer routes leave town, traveling along fields of cotton, soybeans and corn. On the 26- and 65-mile routes you can visit two working cotton gins, each offering free tours. All routes are well marked and include rest stops with refreshments and toilet facilities.
While downtown, enjoy the Harvest Festival and Antique Tractor Show in Legion Square (adjacent to the Depot). You're invited to enjoy downtown's galleries, antique and collectible stores, and boutique shopping.
Registration at the Depot Museum: Oct. 10, 5 p.m.-7 p.m.; Oct. 12, 7:30 a.m. Ride begins at 8:30 AM at the Red Caboose.
